Kylee & Jimmy :: Sioux Falls, South Dakota Wedding Photographer
As much as we love the dresses and the flowers, the decorations and the cake; at the end of the day, a wedding isn’t really about any of these things.
Kylee and Jimmy had a wedding planned for later in the year, when they found out Kylee’s father had stage 4 cancer. Kylee couldn’t imagine her wedding day without her dad walking her down the aisle. Steve was a loving dad; a generous man with a quiet smile, he’d spent his life volunteering his time to serve others. So they changed plans, put on their special outfits, and had a simple ceremony in the tiny VA chapel.
At the end of the day, a wedding is about people. The two people pledging their love and their lives to each; and the people who gather round to celebrate and support. The most beautiful weddings may not be big or glamorous. It isn’t the glitz and the details that makes a wedding meaningful. It’s the relationships.
In July, Kylee’s Dad, Steve passed away. His amazing soul lives on in the hearts of his loved ones.
