Erica & Connor :: South Dakota Wedding Photographer
On a surprisingly warm December day, Erica slipped into her delicate lace wedding dress. In the church basement, Connor’s mom pinned on his corsage. After a few deep breaths, they met each other in front of the old, brick church, where they greeted each other with laughter and hugs.
They spent their day surrounded by loved ones; siblings, nieces and nephews, and childhood friends. And while the church was filled with endless amounts of love, the loss of Connor’s father was deeply felt. They honored him with a sign placed in the pew he would have sat in, and wore a photo of him close to their hearts.
The day went effortlessly, exchanging vows in a heartfelt ceremony, before celebrating with their bridal party on the way to the reception. At the reception they enjoyed emotional speeches, and a gift of a song from two of Connor’s brothers. The song included well wishes from various family members, including a surprise clip from Connor’s dad.
They finished their night off with some mischievous cake cutting and of course, dancing.
I feel so very honored to have been present for this special day, with these wonderful people.
